The UK flag carrier was named the world's best airline by Skytrax in 2006, but its reputation has since faltered. With a new seat design, new routes, and upgrades to the Airbus A380, here's how BA is changing. British Airways is rolling out the new seat design to its Airbus A320neo and A321neo jets, used on its short-haul flights. The business-class configuration on BA's new short-haul seats.

British Airlines will stop loading flights with meals for all passengers to reduce food waste. Last month the airline brought back free tea and coffee for passengers on short-haul flights. British Airways is trialing a new catering system where it won't load enough food for all passengers on a flight in a bid to tackle food waste. This included scrapping free beverages for passengers on its short-haul economy flights, the Sunday Times reported. Last month it started giving passengers free tea and coffee again on its short-haul routes.

OAKLAND, California, May 4 (Reuters) - Impact Nano, a Massachusetts-based startup that makes specialty chemicals for the semiconductor industry and others, said on Thursday it raised $32 million in funding from investors including Intel Capital and Goldman Sachs Asset Management. And they are made in regions of political instability," said Matthew Stephens, CEO and co-founder of Impact Nano. Stephens said Impact Nano is inventing new ways to produce chemicals that chip makers use. Stephens also said Impact Nano is looking to apply for some of the CHIPS Act funding that will support the suppliers for semiconductor manufacturing. Goldman Sachs Asset Management is part of Goldman Sachs Group Inc (GS.N) and Intel Capital is the investment arm of U.S. chip giant Intel Corp (INTC.O).
But, to better streamline their operation, British Airways has moved into Terminal 8, and the pair are now officially "roommates," as American CEO Robert Isom put it at a press conference in November. EVERETT, Wash. − Boeing 's final 747 is set to roll out of the company's cavernous factory north of Seattle as airlines' push for more fuel-efficient planes ends the more than half-century production run of the jumbo jet. "It's a very surreal time, obviously," said Kim Smith, vice president and general manager of Boeing's 747 and 767s programs out of the assembly plant here. "For the first time in well over 50 years we will not have a 747 in this facility." The lone 747, covered in a green protective coating, sits inside the company's massive assembly plant in Everett — the largest building in the world by volume, according to Boeing. The end of 747 production doesn't mean the planes will disappear entirely from the skies, since the new ones could fly for decades.
